Frivolous Fibers of St. Michaels, MD

Quench your thirst for color this summer at Frivolous Fibers. Our yarn shop, located in beautiful downtown St. Michaels, is well-loved for its enormous mountains of Blue Heron Yarns. Your eyes and fingers will also be delighted to discover our selection of Noro, indie-dyed Wullenstudio sock yarn, Punta, Dream in Color, Plymouth, Tahki, and more. We have tons of samples to stir up your imagination and your fingers will fly with our  Addi Turbo needles.

Come see us anytime. We are open 7 days a week from 10-5! We have regular Sit N Knits from 5-8 on Tuesdays and 1-3 on Sundays, although you often find impromptu Sit N Knits any other day of the week.

We are well known for our kind, gentle knitting instruction. We offer a wide variety of classes, including our popular Super Bowl Weekend yarn retreat. We also provide individual and group instructions by reservation. Call ahead and we will plan a special class geared just for you and friends. Whether you are ready to move beyond scarves or tackle that new beaded lace project, we are always happy to help!

St. Michaels is fabulous for a day trip with friends, spa weekend, or a couples getaway. Fabulous seafood, local art, boating, and handmade ice cream abound in St. Michaels. The front of our shop is stocked with goodies from local artists (including some fabulous felted jewelry J ). We hope you stop in and see us sometime.
